Burnt eye lashes

The ballerina turned out of the legs
And tossed and floated around like a rhythm machine
And just when she twisted for her pointe work
The clouds assembled in front of my eyes
Stung my pupils and burnt some eye lashes

And that other woman just stood and laughed
rolled over and laughed
At the sight of the one in a trillion
The look of my burnt eye lashes

Then just as i checked
To see of they were all there
The lovely dancer got back on her feet
And threw enigma in the air

Refection was still deceiving
And my callused fingers too numb
damn why couldn't i see
If i had burnt a few eye lashes

Lost in the orchestra
It slipped off of my mind
The air still infected
By the grace of her step

And then it struck me again
And I touched to see
If what had happened really did
And the burnt eye lashes were no kid

Turns out that the floater
Really did take em away
Makin me look freaky
In a very unique way

So laugh all you want punk!
I still got a story to tell!
With the ballerina doing her moves so precious
Even though at the cost of my burnt eye lashes
